Saturday Wash Day

Ideally, to save time I have begun doing the girl’s wash day routine on separate days.  Yet,  it doesn’t always pan out to work that way.  The weather this spring in Wisconsin has been erratic.  One day it is warm, the next day it is snowing and now we are into a rainy season.  My family was itching to get out of the house on this overcast day in April.  I had both girl’s hair to do and then we headed to Mount Horeb, WI to explore this little town.

Since we were planning a day trip I bypassed the Pinterest search for a protective style.   We decided to do our regular wash routine and then to wing it with the styling process.  Our trial of Mielle Product testing is coming to an end.   The product level in most bottles is low.  The Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner is gone and I have to say I would purchase that product again.  We are now trying the Mixed Chicks Detangling Deep Conditioner.  I’ll keep you posted on my review of these products.

As we are wrapping up the Mielle product line we blended a couple different products.

Travel Wisconsin:  Mount Horeb, WI

We are continuing our socialization for our new puppy Irie.  Accordingly, we took her with us on this day venture.  I had Mount Horeb on my visit list for some time.  Mount Horeb is known as the troll capital of the world (according to www.trollway.com).  As you stroll the main street you will find them on lawns and in shop windows displayed proudly.

Mount Horeb Attractions

The girls wanted to spend time playing at the park.  With Irie in tow, we had limited options for attractions.   However, we were able to sit in the enclosed patio at The Grumpy Troll and enjoy a beer from this award-winning Brewery.   The staff was nice enough to allow us to bring Irie in.  The other patrons didn’t mind, they asked to pet her.  Many were curious to know her age and breed.  We ordered a pizza to go and it was scrumptious.

Lastly, we stopped at the Driftless Historium Museum & Research Center has trolls for purchase and our girls got an ice cream cone.  The museum is opposite from the Grumpy Troll.  The ice cream is made at UW-Madison Platteville.  However, if you are visiting without children you should try a wine tasting at Botham Winery.  We went there by limo for my mom’s 60th birthday party.
